Cluster Bezel
BEZEL-CLUSTERNOTE:
- LHD model shown in illustration. RHD model similar.
- Steering column removed from illustration for clarity.
REMOVAL
WARNING: ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AIRBAGS, DISABLE THE AIRBAG SYSTEM BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY STEERING WHEEL, STEERING COLUMN, OR INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPONENT DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. DISCONNECT AND ISOLATE THE NEGATIVE BATTERY (GROUND) CABLE, THEN WAIT TWO MINUTES FOR THE AIRBAG SYSTEM CAPACITOR TO DISCHARGE BEFORE PERFORMING FURTHER DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. THIS IS THE ONLY SURE WAY TO DISABLE THE AIRBAG SYSTEM. FAILURE TO TAKE THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY OR DEATH.
1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the instrument panel top cover.
3. Remove the steering column opening cover.
4. Remove the left instrument panel end cap.
5. Using a trim stick C-4755 or equivalent (1), remove the cluster bezel (2) from the instrument panel (3) by releasing the snap retainers from the instrument panel.
6. If required, remove the instrument panel air outlet from the back of the cluster bezel.
INSTALLATION
1. If removed, install the instrument panel air outlet onto the back of the cluster bezel.
2. Install the cluster bezel (1) onto the instrument panel (2). Make sure the snap retainers are fully engaged to the instrument panel.
3. Install the left instrument panel end cap.
4. Install the steering column opening cover.
5. Install the instrument panel top cover.
6. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
