Shifter Detent Spring: Service and Repair

DETENT PLUG

REMOVAL
1. Remove transaxle assembly.





2. Using Remover 8870 (2) attached to Puller/Slide Hammer C-3752 (1), remove detent plug(s) (3) from transaxle case.

INSTALLATION

NOTE: Inspect detent plug for signs of wear or damage. If necessary, replace detent plugs with new upon installation.





1. Install detent plug (1) into case.





Using soft-tipped hammer (2), drive detent plugs (1) into case until they bottom.
2. Install transaxle assembly.
