Harmonic Balancer - Crankshaft Pulley: Service and Repair
DAMPER VIBRATIONREMOVAL
1. Remove accessory drive belts.
2. Remove lower splash shield.
3. Remove crankshaft damper bolt.
4. Remove damper by using Puller 1026 (1) and Crankshaft Damper Removal Insert 6827A (2).
INSTALLATION
1. Install crankshaft damper using Crankshaft Damper/Sprocket Installer 6792 (1) (M12 1.75 x 150 mm bolt, washer, thrust bearing and nut).
NOTE: Lubricate the threads of the M12 1.75 x 150 mm bolt using Mopar Nickel Anti-seize Compound or equivalent, before beginning to press the damper on.
2. Remove Crankshaft Damper/Sprocket Installer 6792 (1).
3. Apply Mopar Lock & Seal Adhesive (Medium Strength Threadlocker) to crankshaft damper bolt and tighten to 136 Nm (100 ft. lbs.).
4. Install accessory drive belts.
