Airbag Indicator Short

AIRBAG INDICATOR SHORT

- When Monitored:
With the ignition in the Run/Start position and when requested to illuminate by the ABS module.

- Set Condition:
The Cluster software detects the voltage across the Airbag indicator LED is below 5.0 volts when ON.





Diagnostic Test

1. CLUSTER

NOTE: The Instrument Cluster performs internal tests on the Airbag and ABS indicators during each ignition cycle.

With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds, then turn the ignition on.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Did the Indicator Short DTC reset?

Yes

- Replace the Cluster.
- Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. Body Verification Test

No

- Test Complete.
