PDM-1C-PASSENGER MIRROR VERTICAL OUTPUT SHORT TO GROUND
For a complete wiring diagram Consult Diagrams/Electrical
- When Monitored:
Whenever mirror is idle.
- Set Condition:
Driver circuit is shorted to ground.
Diagnostic Test
1. DTC PRESENT
With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
Cycle the ignition switch Off then back On.
With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Did the same DTC return?
Yes
- Go To2
No
- The conditions required to set the code are currently not present. Using the wiring diagram/schematic as a guide, inspect the wiring and connectors.
- PERFORM BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
2. POWER MIRROR
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Passenger Outside Rearview Mirror connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Using the scan tool, erase DTC's.
Cycle the ignition switch Off then back On.
With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Did the same DTC return?
Yes
- Go To3
No
- Inspect the power mirror harness for a short, if OK replace the mirror.
- PERFORM BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
3. (P72) PASSENGER MIRROR VERTICAL DRIVER
Turn the ignition off.
Disconnect the Passenger Outside Rearview Mirror connector.
Turn the ignition on.
Measure the (P72) Passenger Mirror Vertical Driver circuit to ground.
Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?
Yes
- Repair the (P72) Passenger Mirror Vertical Driver circuit for a short to ground.
- PERFORM BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
No
- Replace the Passenger Door Module.
- PERFORM BODY VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1.Body Verification Test
