Installation







INSTALLATION





1. Install O2 sensor on to catalytic converter Installation.
2. Install heat shield and fasteners (1) onto cross-member.




3. Install heat shield push pins (1).
4. Install bolts attaching steering gear to top of suspension cross-member Steering Gear - Installation.




5. Raise front suspension cross-member into position on vehicle.
6. Loosely install bolts (1) attaching rear of cross-member to frame rail torque boxes.




7. Install ball joint nut (1) Front Lower Ball Joint - Installation.




8. Install rear roll torque mount through bolt (1). Tighten to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs).




9. Install stabilizer link fastener (1) to strut Front Stabilizer Bar - Installation.
10. Install lower control arms Front Lower Control Arm - Installation.




11. Tighten bolts holding suspension cross-member to frame rail torque boxes. Torque to 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.)
12. Install cross-member reinforcement bolts. Tighten to 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.).




13. Install stay brackets. Tighten fasteners (2) to 55 Nm (41 ft. lbs.).
14. Install fore/aft cross-member Service and Repair.
15. Lower vehicle.
16. After assembly is complete, check front end alignment and adjust as necessary Service and Repair.
