Front Door Glass Rattle or Flutter Sound

OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves diagnosing the sound and replacing the outer belt molding with an improved part.

MODELS:

2007 - 2008 (JS41) Sebring

NOTE:
This information applies to models built prior to August 31, 2007 (MDH0831XX).

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Some customers may experience a front door rattle or flutter sound when closing the door(s) with the window in the down position.

DIAGNOSIS:
Open and close the right and left door with the window in the up position and note any sounds. Place the window in the down position and open / close each door hard while listening for rattle or flutter sounds. Also, tapping on the outer belt chrome piece with the window down may reproduce the sound as well. If the sound is heard coming from the outer belt area, perform the Repair Procedure.





PARTS REQUIRED:

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

1. Following the procedures listed in DealerCONNECT > TechCONNECT, replace the right and left front door outer belt mouldings with pn 05303656AD & 05303657AD

2. Verify the sound is eliminated after repair.
