B1929-LEFT REAR WINDOW CONTROL CIRCUIT OPEN







- When Monitored:
Whenever the Window Motor is operating.

- Set Condition:
The Left Rear Window Driver (Up) circuit does not change from high to low during a window movement command.





1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, erase all DTC's.
3. Try to operate the Left Rear Window up and down several times.
4. Wait 30 seconds.
5. With the scan tool, read DTC's.

Does the scan tool display this DTC?

Yes

- Go To 2

No

- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST Body Verification Test.

2. WINDOW MOTOR OR CIRCUIT OPEN




1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Left Rear Window Motor connector.
3. Connect a test light between the (Q111) Left Rear Window Driver (Up) circuit and the (Q211) Left Rear Window Driver (Down) circuit.
4. Turn the ignition on.
5. Operate the left rear window switch up and down several times while observing the test light.

Does the test light illuminate brightly when the switch is pressed in both directions?

Yes

- Replace the Left Rear Window Motor.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST Body Verification Test.

No

- Go To 3

3. (Q111) LEFT REAR WINDOW DRIVER (UP) CIRCUIT OPEN




1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Left Rear Door Module C1 connector
3. Measure the resistance of the (Q111) Left Rear Window Driver (Up) circuit between the Left Rear Window Motor harness connector and the Left Rear Door Module C1 harness connector.

Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

Yes

- Go To 4

No

- Repair the (Q111) Left Rear Window Driver (Up) circuit for an open.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST Body Verification Test.

4. (Q211) LEFT REAR WINDOW DRIVER (DOWN) CIRCUIT OPEN




1. Measure the resistance of the (Q211) Left Rear Window Driver (Down) circuit between the Left Rear Window Motor harness connector and the Left Rear Door Module C1 harness connector.

Is the resistance below 5.0 ohms?

Yes

- Replace the Left Rear Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST Body Verification Test.

No

- Repair the (Q211) Left Rear Window Driver (Down) circuit for an open.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST Body Verification Test.
