B1E4A-3RD ROW SEAT RIGHT BACKREST POSITION SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH
- When Monitored:
When the Seat Motor is activated.
- Set Condition:
If during motor operation the sensor voltage is not within a specified range this code will set.
1. TEST FOR INTERMITTENT CONDITION
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase all DTC's.
3. Operate the Folding Seat Switch several times.
4. With the scan tool, read DTC's.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- The condition that caused this symptom is currently not present. Check for an intermittent condition by inspecting the related wiring harness for chafed, pierced, pinched, and partially broken wires. Also, inspect the related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, spread, corroded, or contaminated terminals. Repair as necessary.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test.
2. CHECK THE (P320) RIGHT SEAT BACK POSITION SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT VOLTAGE
1. With the scan tool, erase all DTC's.
2. Disconnect the C391 Power Folding Rear Seat 16 way in-line harness connector.
NOTE: Check connectors - Clean and repair as necessary.
3. With the Folding Seat Switch select the right seat.
4. Operate the Folding Seat Switch several times.
Does the scan tool display the same DTC?
Yes
- Go To 4
No
- Go To 3
3. CHECK THE (P320) RIGHT SEAT BACK POSITION SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE AT MOTOR
1. Turn the ignition off.
2. Disconnect the Right Power Rear Folding Seat Back Motor harness connector.
3. Measure the resistance of the (P320) Right Seat Back Position Sensor Supply circuit to other circuits at the C391 Power Folding Rear Seat 16 way in-line harness connector.
Is there any continuity present?
Yes
- Repair the (P320) Right Seat Back Position Sensor Supply circuit for a short to another circuit.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test.
No
- Replace the Right Power Rear Folding Seat Back Motor assembly.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test.
4. CHECK THE (P320) RIGHT SEAT BACK POSITION SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE AT MODULE
1. Disconnect the Folding Seat Module C3 harness connector.
2. Turn the ignition On.
3. Measure the voltage of the (P320) Right Seat Back Position Sensor Supply circuit at the C391 Power Folding Rear Seat 16 way harness connector.
Is there any voltage present?
Yes
- Repair the (P320) Right Seat Back Position Sensor Supply circuit for a short to voltage.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test.
No
- Go To 5
5. CHECK THE (P320) RIGHT SEAT BACK POSITION SENSOR SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT AT MODULE
1. Turn the ignition Off.
2. Measure the resistance of the (P320) Right Seat Back Position Sensor Supply circuit to other circuits in the C391 Power Folding Rear Seat 16 way harness connector.
Is there any continuity present?
Yes
- Repair the (P320) Right Seat Back Position Sensor Supply circuit for a short to another circuit.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test.
No
- Replace the Folding Seat Module.
- Perform POWER FOLDING SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Power Folding Seat System Verification Test.
