PASSENGER WINDOW NOT CALIBRATED/LOST CALIBRATION - JS27 ONLY

NOTE: Anytime a window or window regulator is replaced, this procedure must be used. This condition may also happen when the battery or the door module connector is disconnected.

1. TEST FOR ANY DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCs) PRESENT
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, record and erase the DTCs.
3. Sit in the driver seat and close both doors.
4. Operate the Passenger Window up and down several times.
5. Wait 30 seconds.
6. With the scan tool, read the DTCs.

Does the scan tool display any Power Window DTCs?

Yes

- Testing and Inspection and perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.

No

- Go To 2

2. WINDOW MUST DROP AND RISE
1. With the scan tool in Passenger Door Module, select "Miscellaneous Functions" and perform the "Denormalize Window/Reset ECU" routine.
2. Start the engine or connect a battery charger and set at charging voltage.
3. Sit in the driver seat.

NOTE: The convertible top and both doors must be completely closed before continuing.

4. Using the window switch, move the window part way down.
5. Using the Power Top Switch, raise all windows to the full up position and continue to hold the top switch for an additional two seconds.

NOTE: Using the Power Top Switch to raise the windows is to insure the top is completely locked and secure. If it is not, the windows will not go to the full up position.

6. Lower the window to the full down position by pushing down on the window switch to its second detent and continue to hold the switch for an additional two seconds.
7. Using the window switch raise the window to the full up position.
8. Open the door and then close the door while observing the window.

Did the window lower approximately 1/4 inch when the door was opened and rise to the full up position when the door was closed?

Yes

- Test complete.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.

No

- Replace the Passenger Door Module.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Body Verification Test.
