Water Pump Inlet Tube - Installation

INSTALLATION






1. Clean the inlet tube O-ring sealing surfaces on the timing cover housing and tube.

2. Apply Mopar(R) Dielectric Grease or equivalent to new O-ring before installation.

3. Position new O-ring seal on the water inlet tube (2).

4. Install the water inlet tube. Tighten the bolt to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.).

5. Install the engine oil cooler return hose (1) (only if equipped with engine oil cooler).

6. Install the water bypass hose (4) to the thermostat (5).

7. Install the EGR cooler return hose (6).

8. Install the heater hoses to the water inlet tube (2).

9. Install the lower radiator hose to the water inlet tube (2).





10. Install the engine oil indicator tube through the bottom of the vehicle.

11. Install the lower engine oil indicator tube bolt (1). Tighten bolt to 11 Nm (97 in. lbs.).

12. Install the belly pan.

13. Lower the vehicle.





14. Install the upper engine oil indicator tube bolt (1). Tighten bolt (1) to 11 Nm (97 in. lbs.).





15. Connect the charge inlet tube (1) from the EGR air control valve (2) and securely tighten clamp (3).

16. Fill the cooling system Service and Repair.





17. Install the engine cover (1).

18. Connect the negative battery cable.

19. Check the cooling system for leaks Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures.
