Blower Motor Resistor - Removal






REMOVAL

1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the rear floor distribution duct Floor Distribution Duct - Removal.

3. Remove the rear ceiling distribution duct Air Outlet - Removal.





4. Remove the bolt (7) that secures the rear heater core tubes to the rear inner quarter panel (1).

5. Remove the two bolts (5) that secure the rear heater-A/C housing (4) to the brackets (3) located on the rear inner quarter panel.

6. Carefully Pull the top of rear heater-A/C housing four inches away from the rear inner quarter panel to gain access to the blower motor resistor fasteners and electrical connector.

NOTE: Extending the heater-A/C housing greater than four inches from the rear inner quarter panel could result in damage to the A/C lines.





7. Disconnect the wire harness connector (2) from the rear blower motor resistor (3).

8. Remove the two screws (4) that secure the rear blower motor resistor to the back of the rear heater-A/C housing (1) and remove the resistor.
