REMOVAL

Special Tools:











CAUTION:
The magnetic timing wheels (1) must not come in contact with magnets (pickup tools, trays, etc.) or any other strong magnetic field. This will destroy the timing wheels ability to correctly relay camshaft position to the camshaft position sensor.





1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the ignition coils Ignition Coil - Removal.

3. Using compressed air, blow out any dirt or contaminates from around the top of the spark plugs.

4. Remove the cylinder head cover(s) Cylinder Head Cover(s) - Removal.

5. Install the top half of Spark Plug Tube Installer (10255) (1) into the spark plug tube to be removed (2).





6. Using suitable locking pliers (1), remove the spark plug tube (2) from the cylinder head and discard the tube.

7. Clean the area around the spark plug tube mounting with Mopar(R) Parts Cleaner or equivalent.
