Cruise Control Servo: Service and Repair
1986-87 FRONT WHEEL DRIVE MODELS
1. Remove two throttle cable-to-servo attaching nuts.
2. Pull cable away from servo to expose retaining clip, then remove clip securing cable to servo.
3. Remove two servo mounting bracket attaching screws, then disconnect electrical connectors and vacuum line and remove servo and bracket.
4. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque mounting bracket attaching screws to 105 inch lbs.
b. Install retaining clip with throttle in wide open position and holes in throttle cable sleeve and servo pin aligned.
c. Torque throttle cable stud nuts to 80 inch lbs.
