1A Checking For Spark at Spark Plug Wires

1. Disconnect a spark plug wire from spark plug and insert an insulated screwdriver into terminal.
2. Hold screwdriver shaft 1/4 inch from a good engine ground and crank engine for at least seven seconds.
3. If good spark is present, proceed to Test 2.
4. If very little or no spark is present, proceed to Test 1 step B.
5. If spark is present for about five seconds then stops, proceed to Test 9.
