Fig. 12 ATC wiring harness and lead connectors:

1. Remove ATC control, then disconnect electrical connector and measure resistance between pins 7 and 20. Resistance should measure 5000-41000 ohms with temperature between 30 and 90°F. If resistance is not within specifications, proceed to step 2. If resistance is within specifications, replace ATC control.
2. Remove in-vehicle sensor and measure resistance across pins 1 and 4. If resistance is not within specifications, replace in-vehicle sensor. If resistance is within specifications, check continuity between ATC control pin 20 and in-vehicle sensor pin 1 and between ATC control pin 7 and in-vehicle sensor pin 4 and correct as necessary.
