Computer Timing Advance Specifications

Specifications are in addition to basic timing.

Perform all tests with engine at operating temperature.

1981-87: Carburetted, disconnect and plug vacuum hose at computer. Apply 16" of vacuum to the transducer and increase engine speed to 2000 RPM. Verify that idle speed screw is not contacting the carb ground switch aand check advance against specification after time indicated has elapsed.

1983-90: With FI, increase engine speed to 2000 RPM and check advance.
