Power Window Switch: Service and Repair

Removal
Door Panel Mounted Remove the switch by carefully prying it out with a small flat bladed screwdriver. Release the wiring harness lock tabs and remove the wiring from the back of the switch. Remove the screws that secure the switch to the bezel (if applicable).

Arm Rest Mounted Remove the screws at the bottom of the arm rest that hold the switch bezel to the arm rest. If no screws are visable at the bottom of the arm rest, then carefully pry up on the window switch bezel to remove it from the retaining clips. Release the wiring harness lock tabs and remove the wiring from the back of the switch. Remove the screws that secure the switch to the bezel.


Installation
Door Panel Mounted Secure the door switch to the bezel with the original screws (if applicable). Press the wiring harness onto the back of the switch, making sure the lock tabs engage. Reinstall the bezel into the door panel.

Arm Rest Mounted Install the switch to the bezel with original screws. Press the wiring harness onto the back of the switch, making sure the lock tabs engage. Install the switch and bezel into the arm rest and secure it with the screws in the bottom of the arm rest (if applicable).
