Garage Door Opener Storage Compartment

GENERAL INFORMATION
The garage door opener storage compartment allows for the storage of a number of different kinds of openers. Once installed, the opener can be activated by pressing the storage door, and then releasing it.

LATCH FUNCTION AND DIAGNOSIS
1. Open door by pushing in latch button and pulling door downward.
2. Check latch function by pushing latch in and releasing.
3. If latch does not return freely, check for binding conditions.
4. If latch binds, repair or replace as required.

SPACER BUTTON DIAGNOSIS
1. Insert each spacer button, one at a time, between two L-shaped legs on top of the latch.
2. Slide spacer button toward front of latch until it stops.
3. Spacer button should snap into position and remain in place.
4. If latch button fails to remain in position, repair or replace button or storage door as required.

DOOR REMOVAL
1. Open garage door opener storage compartment door.

Remove Garage Door Opener Compartment Door:

2. Increase gap between compartment wall and door by inserting a trim stick into gap and twisting slightly.
3. Disengage pivot pin from opening.
4. Tip door out of opening and remove.
5. Reverse this procedure to install.
