1. Disconnect the idle position switch connector.

Idle Position Switch Continuity Check:

2. Check for continuity between terminal # 1 and body ground.
^ While the accelerator pedal is depressed, continuity should NOT exist.
^ While the accelerator pedal is fully released, continuity should exist.
