Recall 97V148000: Seat Belt Buckles Can Dislodge
Vehicle Description: Passenger mini-vans. Covers on the solid stalk mounted seat belt buckles can become dislodged causing the release button to stick inside the cover. The buckle would then be only partially latched. In the event of a vehicle crash, the occupant may not be properly restrained increasing the risk of personal injury. Dealers will install a cover retaining clip to the stalk mounted buckle cover to prevent dislocation of the buckle cover. Owner Notification: Chrysler has not yet provided an owner notification schedule. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Chrysler at 1-800-853-1403. Also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Auto Safety Hotline at 1-800-424-9393.
