Body Control Module: Tools and Equipment

In order to perform the diagnostic tests, you need the following equipment:

^ DRBII DIAGNOSTIC READOUT BOX
^ 1992 DIAGNOSTIC PROGRAM CARTRIDGE
^ BODY DIAGNOSTIC CABLE
^ JUMPER WIRES
^ OHMMETER
^ OIL PRESSURE GAUGE
^ VOLTMETER


There are diagnostic read-out boxes available from other manufacturers that can be used on Chrysler vehicles. However, the diagnostic test procedures have been designed specifically for use with Chrysler's DRBII diagnostic readout box. It is assumed that the DRBII will be used to perform the procedures.

Connect the DRBII to the vehicle by plugging the DRBII connector into the CCD bus diagnostic connector. This connector for the AS body system is located under the dash to the left of the steering column.
