Speed Control Switch Test

1. Disable airbag system as described under Airbag System Disarming.
2. Remove ON/OFF speed control switch assembly, then disconnect two way connector.
3. Using a suitable ohmmeter connect one lead to pin one and the other to pin two. Press OFF button, resistance should be zero to five ohms, press ON button, resistance should be between 674 and 688 ohms.
4. If not within specification, replace switch.
5. Remove SET/RESUME speed control switch assembly, then disconnect two way connector.
6. Using a suitable ohmmeter connect one lead to pin one and the other to pin two, meter should read no continuity. Press SET button, resistance should be 1,978-2,002 ohms, press RESUME button, resistance should be 5,558-5,682 ohms.
7. If resistance is not within specification, replace switch.
8. Rearm airbag as described under Airbag System Disarming.
