Generator Field Sense

PURPOSE
Allows Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to monitor generator output.


OPERATION
The PCM constantly monitors the generator field (generator output). The signal tells the PCM what voltage levels are being supplied to the injectors and the ignition coil. The PCM adjusts the generator field and injector pulse width based upon the generator field sense input.
