[04] - Measured between tip of valve & spring seat.
[05] - If valve tip is refinished, measure tip diameter & re-chamfer valve tip, as needed, to a diameter of 0.275 inch (minimum) to prevent seal damage during installation. If more than 0.020 inch must be ground from valve tip, check clearance between rocker arm & valve spring retainer. If clearance is less than 0.50 inch, machine ears of rocker arm, as needed to provide specified clearance. However, if machining rocker arm will reduce depth less than 0.060 inch, valve and/or cylinder head must be replaced.
