Cruise Control Switch: Testing and Inspection

1. Remove ON/OFF speed control switch assembly, then disconnect two way connector.
2. Using a suitable ohmmeter connect one lead to pin No. 1 and the other to pin No. 2. Press OFF button, resistance should be 0 to 5ohms, press ON button, resistance should be between 644 and 668 ohms.
3. If not within specification, replace switch.
4. Remove SET/RESUME speed control switch assembly, then disconnect two way connector.
5. Using a suitable ohmmeter connect one lead to pin No. 1 and the other to pin No. 2, meter should read no continuity. Press SET button, resistance should be 1978-2022 ohms, press RESUME button, resistance should be 5558-5682 ohms.
6. If resistance is not within specification, replace switch.
