Air Injection: Testing and Inspection

Air Injection System Diagnosis:

CHECK VALVE INSPECTION
1. Remove air hose from check valve inlet tube.
2. If exhaust gas is escaping from tube, replace check valve and tube assembly.
3. If excessive noise is coming from check valve, replace check valve.

AIR RELIEF VALVE TEST
1. If air escapes from relief holes at idle, relief valve assembly is defective, replace valve assembly.
