DEALER SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS

Emissions Recalls # 7631 and # 7632 -- Vapor Canister and Purge Solenoid

^ This service requirement applies only to 1994 through 1996 model year Dodge Ram (BR) trucks equipped with a gasoline engine and:

^ Recall # 7631 -- Currently Located Out of California

^ Recall # 7632 -- Currently Located In California

^ The evaporative vapor canister on the above listed vehicles may allow charcoal to migrate from the canister to the purge solenoid and into the engine. To correct this condition the vapor canister and purge solenoid must be replaced.

^ Be sure to provide a Vehicle Emission Recall Proof of Correction Form (Form No. 81-016-1053) to each California vehicle owner upon completion of the recall # 7632 service, for owner use as proof during renewal of the vehicle registration.

^ Effective immediately all repairs on involved vehicles are to be performed according to this Recall Notification. The Labor Operation Numbers for TSB's 14-10-96 Rev. A and 25-03-97 are being canceled. Vehicles that have had either TSB repair performed have been removed from this recall.

Parts Packages:

^ Each involved dealer, to whom vehicles in the recall were invoiced, will receive enough Vapor Canister Packages to service about 30% of those vehicles.
