Water In Fuel Indicator: Testing and Inspection

If this warning lamp remains illuminated when the ignition key is ON, it indicates that excess water has collected in the fuel filter/water separator. (Note that the lamp will be illuminated for approximately two seconds when the ignition key is initially placed in the ON position for a bulb check). Excess water can be drained. Refer to Fuel Filter/Water Separator Component Service and Repair for water draining procedures.
