Exciter Ring

If necessary to replace exciter ring on models with anti-lock brakes, the following procedure should be performed after disassembly of the differential.

1. Remove exciter ring from case using suitable punch and hammer.
2. Heat new exciter ring using a heat lamp or immersing in a suitable hot fluid. Do not allow exciter ring to be heated past 300°F. Do not use torch to heat exciter ring.
3. Install exciter ring against shoulder of differential case.
