Displaying & Reading Trouble Codes
NOTE: Chrysler only provides a procedure to pull ABS Codes with a Chrysler Diagnostic Readout Box (DRB) scan tool. There are no procedures provided by Chrysler to pull ABS codes with a generic scan tool or any other procedure besides using the Chrysler DRB.Breakout Box Tool No. 6979:

RETRIEVING CODES
When a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) is generated, the brake warning lamp and ABS warning lamp are illuminated. To retrieve a DTC, place the ignition key in the RUN position. Then plug Breakout Box tool No. 6979, or equivalent, into the Data Link Connector. Place Breakout Box trigger wire into cavity 13 of the box, then press and release the red trigger button. This will momentarily ground the circuit and cause the ABS and Brake Warning Lamp to flash. The initial flash will be a long flash followed by one or more short flashes. The long flash indicates the beginning of the DTC number. The short flashes are a continuation of the DTC number. You must count the long flash and short flashes for an accurate trouble code number. When the DTC has been retrieved compare it to the Diagnostic Trouble Code Chart. There may be a problem if the brake warning lamp and/or ABS lamp:
^ Does not come on
^ Is on all of the time
^ Flashes incorrectly
CAUTION: The ABS uses an electronic control module, the Controller Antilock Brake (CAB). This module is designed to withstand normal current draws associated with vehicle operation. Care must be taken to avoid overloading the CAB circuits. In testing for open or short circuits, do not ground or apply voltage to any of the circuits unless instructed to do so for a diagnostic procedure. These circuits should only be tested using a high impedance multi-meter or the Diagnostic Readout Box (DRB) tester as described for the appropriate test. Power should never be removed or applied to any control module with the ignition in the ON position. Before removing or connecting battery cables, fuses, or connectors, always turn the ignition to the OFF position.
