Recall - Crankcase Ventilation Orifice: Overview

No. 736

October, 1997

To: All Dodge Truck Dealers

Subject:
Emissions Recall # 736-- Crankcase Ventilation Orifice

Models:
Certain 1994 and 1995 Model Year Dodge Ram (BR) Trucks Equipped With a Remanufactured 8.0L V-10 Engine

The crankcase ventilation (CCV) orifice on about 200 of the above listed vehicles, was improperly installed into the right valve cover instead of the left valve cover during the engine remanufacturing process. This orifice may be inspected during vehicle emissions testing. An improperly located CCV orifice may cause the vehicle to fail an emissions test. To correct this condition, the CCV orifice must be relocated from the right to the left valve cover.
