Seat Belt Latch Plate - Rattle Noise

Rattle Due To Seat Belt Latch Plate Bumping Trim

MODELS:
1994 - 1995 (BR) Ram Truck

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Rattling noise from the seat belt latch plate bumping against the rear quarter trim panel when seat belt is not in use.

NOTE:
ALL VEHICLE OCCUPANTS SHOULD BE ENCOURAGED TO WEAR THEIR SEAT BELT.

2 5ES45RB7 Pad, Trim Panel Sound Deadener, Slate Blue
2 5ES45RD5 Pad, Trim Panel Sound Deadener, Medium Quartz
2 5ES45RF6 Pad, Trim Panel Sound Deadener, Medium Driftwood
2 5ES45RMA Pad, Trim Panel Sound Deadener, Crimson Red
2 5ES45SP8 Pad, Trim Panel Sound Deadener, Blue

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves the addition of a sound deadener pad to the rear quarter trim panel.

1. Clean quarter panel surface with Mopar Total Kleen (P/N 4318018) and dry thoroughly

Seat Belt:





2. Locate the sound deadener pad two inches down from the bottom of the seat belt opening in the rear quarter trim panel. Line the pad up behind the seat belt latch plate as shown in illustration. Remove backing paper and apply pad with cloth side facing out.
3. Repeat steps 1 & 2 on the opposite side.
