B. Inspect the Front Suspension Coil Spring Towers For Cracks

NOTE:
The front axle springs must be removed from the truck before an accurate inspection can be performed.





With the axle springs removed from the truck, inspect the right and left Coil spring towers for cracks as shown in Figure 6.

^ Trucks with a crack in either coil spring tower must have the cracked tower(s) replaced and a reinforcement bracket installed. Continue with Section "C - Replace Front Suspension Coil Spring Tower(s)."

^ Trucks with NO cracks in either coil spring tower, continue with Section "D Install Front Suspension Coil Spring Tower Reinforcement Brackets."
