Fig 78 ABS ECU Check:





1. Connect a needle nose wire probe to voltmeter probe.
2. Leaving ABS ECU connected, insert needle-nosed wire probe into each of ABS ECU terminals from wire side. Do not connect positive probe between terminal and ground. Damage to sensor, ABS ECU or wiring could occur.

3. Measure voltage, then compare voltage measurements.
4. If voltmeter indicates any variation from the standard value, check corresponding sensor, actuator and related wiring. Repair or replace as required.
5. After repair or replacement, recheck with voltmeter to confirm repair has corrected problem.
6. Turn ignition switch off and disconnect ABS ECU connector.

7. Measure resistance and check for continuity between terminals of ABS ECU connector and compare results. Probe only the terminals listed in the chart, checking other terminals may cause damage to the ABS ECU.
8. If ohmmeter indicates any variation from the standard value, check corresponding sensor, actuator and related wiring. Repair or replace as required.
9. After repair or replacement, recheck with voltmeter to confirm repair has corrected problem.
