Wheel Alignment

Wheel alignment should be measured with alignment equipment on a level surface. The suspension, steering system and wheels should be serviced to normal condition prior to measurement of wheel alignment. Inspect wheel runout as follows:
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. While slowly turning wheel, measure runout with dial indicator.
3. Radial and lateral runout should be 0.05 inch or less for steel wheel, and0.04 inch or less for aluminum wheel.
4. If wheel runout exceeds limit, replace wheel.
