Wheel Bearing: Adjustments

Fig. 3 Wheel bearing assembly:

1. Raise and support rear of vehicle.
2. Tighten adjusting nut to specifications, while rotating wheel.
3. Stop wheel and loosen adjusting nut by 1/4 turn.
4. Tighten adjusting nut finger tight. Endplay should be .001-.003 inch.
5. Install castle lock with slots aligned with cotter pin hole.
6. Install cotter pin and grease cap.
