State Display Inputs and Outputs
NOTE: Since switch inputs to the PCM have only two recognized states, HIGH and LOW, the PCM cannot recognize, an open circuit, a shorted circuit, or a defective switch.
- If a switch state seen by the PCM changes when the switch is operated, it can be assumed that the switch and circuit to the PCM are functional.
Procedure:
1. Connect the scan tool to the vehicle and access the State Display screen.
2. Access Inputs and Outputs.
