Output Diagnostic Test Mode (Circuit Actuation Tests)

NOTE: Circuit actuation tests are used to verify the operation of output circuits and devices, by actuating the circuit or device with a scan tool.


- Proper operation of a device or circuit can be verified audibly or visually, (click of relay contacts, fuel spray, etc.).

- If it is not an intermittent condition, and a device functions properly during an actuation test, then it can be assumed that the actuated device, and its circuit, are in working order.


Procedure:
1. Connect scan tool and access the "Actuators" screen.

2. The following is a list of accessible functions;

Stop All Tests

Fuel Injector(s) Test

Ignition Coil(s) Test

Idle Air Control Motor Test

ASD Fuel System Test

Generator Field Test

Tachometer Output

Solenoids & Relays Test - Including But Not Limited To The Following;


EVAP Purge Solenoid
S/C Servo Solenoids
Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid (3 Speed Automatic Transaxle Only)
Radiator Fan Relay
A/C Clutch Relay
Auto Shutdown Relay
