On these models, three different types of unequal length driveshafts are used.

These driveshafts use sliding tripod type inner joints. This type of joint allows for driveshaft length change, which is necessary during normal suspension movement. At the same time, this joint offers true constant velocity operation during angular changes.

The outer joint of the driveshaft, allows constant velocity operation during wide angular changes. This ability to maintain a constant velocity is essential for suspension movement and steering.
