Sliding Door Latch: Service and Repair

SLIDING CARGO DOOR FRONT LATCH REMOVAL
1. Remove the trim panel.

Latches, Handles & Rods:

2. Remove the door inside and outside handles. If door catch/striker necessary, refer to the removal procedures.
3. Remove the latch cover.
4. Disconnect all the rods from the latch.

Front Latch Removal/Installation:

5. Remove the latch screws from the door panel.
6. Remove the latch from the door.

INSTALLATION
1. Position the latch in the door.
2. Align the screw holes. Install the latch screws in the door panel. Tighten the screws in the side, inner panel to 11 Nm (95 in. lbs.) torque. Tighten the screws in the inner panel to 23 Nm (200 in. lbs.) torque.
3. Connect the rods to the latch.
4. Install the latch cover.
5. Install the door handles.
6. Install the door inside trim panel.
