Window Regulator: Service and Repair

FRONT DOOR MANUAL WINDOW REGULATOR REMOVAL

1. Remove the door trim panel or access panel and the waterdam.
2. Lower the glass to the full open position. Remove the vent window frame. If necessary refer to the removal procedure.
3. Slide the glass forward until the channel separates from the window regulator.
4. Lower the glass and channel to the bottom of the door.

Manual Window Glass Regulator:

5. Remove the screws from the regulator.

Regulator Removal/Installation:

6. Remove the regulator from the door.

INSTALLATION
1. Position the regulator in the door. Install the regulator on the inner door panel. Tighten the screws to 11 Nm (105 in. lbs.) torque.
2. Raise the glass slide it rearward and engage the channel with the regulator.
3. Install the vent window frame.
4. Test the window glass and regulator operation. Correct as necessary.
5. Install the door waterdam and the trim panel or the access panel.
