Service Procedure For All AB Van/Wagons

1. Raise vehicle on an appropriate hoist.





2. Locate and identify the transmission cooler pressure line assembly (Figure 1).

3. Disconnect the transmission cooler pressure hose from the radiator quick connect. Follow the Procedure to Separate Quick Connects.

4. Remove the pressure quick connect from the radiator and discard.

5. Install one of the provided quick connects into the radiator. Tighten the radiator quick connect to 105 in-lbs (12 N.m).

6. Connect the transmission cooler pressure hose to the radiator quick connect. Follow the Quick Connect Installation Procedure.

7. Disconnect the transmission cooler pressure tube from the transmission quick connect. Follow the Procedure to Separate Quick Connects.

NOTE:
If the transmission cooler pressure tube has been modified and the vehicle is equipped with a cold weather by-pass kit, no repair is required at the transmission. Proceed to Step 11.

8. Remove quick connect from the transmission and discard.

9. Install the other provided quick connect into the transmission. Tighten the transmission quick connect to 225 in-lbs (25 N.m).

10. Connect the transmission cooler pressure tube to the new transmission quick connect. Follow the Quick Connect Installation Procedure.

11. Lower the vehicle.

12. Start the engine and check for any pressure line assembly transmission fluid leaks.

13. Check the transmission fluid level and adjust as necessary.
