Front Door Handle: Service and Repair

Inside Handle Actuator Removal/Installation:

REMOVAL
1. Raise the window glass to the closed position.
2. Remove the door trim/access panel and the waterdam from the door inner panel. If necessary, refer to the removal procedure.
3. Remove the handle latch rod from the handle actuator lever.
4. Remove the screws and the inside handle actuator from the door inner panel and tapping plate.

INSTALLATION
1. Position the inside handle actuator on the door inner panel.
2. Connect the handle latch rod to the actuator lever.
3. Attach the actuator to the door panel and tapping plate with the retaining screws. Tighten the screws to 11 Nm (95 in. lbs.) torque.
