Service Procedure

REPAIR PROCEDURE:

This bulletin involves replacing the seat cushion assembly with a reinforced cushion assembly.

1. Remove the seat from seat riser by removing the 4 attaching nuts.

2. To separate the seat back assembly from the seat cushion assembly perform the following steps.

MANUAL SEATS:




^ From bottom of cushion1 remove the hog rings which attach cushion trim cover welt to cushion suspension. Figure 2 (bottom of cushion showing hog rings.)

^ Remove left side recliner cover.

^ Remove "J" retainers of trim cover from cushion frame. Figure 2

^ Release zipper shown in figure 2.

^ Pull cushion trim cover up on the right side to expose 2 seat back recliner mounts to cushion frame. Left side has a pivot bushing and will slide off.

^ Remove 2 seat back recliner mount bolts.

^ Separate back assembly from cushion assembly.

^ Install new cushion assembly.

ELECTRIC SEATS:

^ From bottom of cushion, remove the hog rings which attach cushion trim cover welt to cushion suspension. Figure 2 (bottom of cushion showing hog rings.)

^ Remove left side recliner cover.

^ Remove "J" retainers of trim cover from cushion frame. Figure 2

^ Release zipper shown in figure 2.

^ Remove two bolts holding right side seat track to frame. This will allow access to the two Philip screws holding the electric seat switch to the frame.

^ Pull cushion trim cover up on the right side to expose 2 seat back recliner mounts to cushion frame. Left side has a pivot bushing and will slide off.

^ Remove 2 seat back recliner mount bolts.

^ Separate back assembly from cushion assembly.

^ Install new cushion assembly.

3. Mount seat cushion assembly to seat back assembly by reversing the points in step 3.

4. Install seat to seat riser by installing the 4 attaching nuts.
