Installation
1. Clean sliding surfaces of caliper mounting adapter with wire brush and lubricate surfaces with suitable high temperature grease.2. Install inboard and outboard brake pads in caliper, then lubricate caliper sliding surfaces with suitable high temperature grease.
3. Position caliper and brake pad assembly over rotor and into adapter, then align caliper with adapter and install retainer clips.
4. Install caliper anti-rattle springs and tighten retainer clip screws to specifications.
5. Connect brake hose to caliper and tighten fitting to specifications. Use new fitting seal washers. Ensure brake hose is free of kinks and is clear of nearby suspension or body components.
6. Fill and bleed brake system as outlined under Hydraulic System/Service and Repair/Brake System Bleed, then install wheels and lower vehicle.
7. Apply brakes several times to seat caliper pistons and brake pads. Ensure brake pedal feels firm prior to moving vehicle.
