Fuel Filter: Service and Repair

Fuel Filter Replacement:

CAUTION: Release fuel system pressure prior to opening the fuel system.

Fuel Filter Replacement:

REMOVAL
1. Eye bolt -- Hold the fuel filter with a wrench and remove the eye bolt.

CAUTION: As there will be some pressure remaining in the fuel pipe line, cover eye bolt with a rag to prevent fuel from spraying.

2. Gasket
3. High-pressure fuel hose connection
4. Gasket
5. Fuel main pipe connection -- Hold the fuel filter with a wrench and loosen the flare nut. Then disconnect the fuel main pipe.
6. Eye bolt
7. Gasket
8. Connector
9. Gasket
10. Pressure regulator
11. Fuel filter
12. Reverse procedure to install

POST-INSTALLATION OPERATION
Check fuel pressure and inspect for leaks.
