Transmission Identification Tag Location:

Transaxle type is identified by a three letter code which may be found in several places as follows;

- On a label attached to the transaxle case, next to the solenoid assembly

- On the body code plate, attached to the top of the radiator closure panel in the engine compartment, (line 1, Digit Boxes 40, 41, AND 42).

DDM 5 Speed Manual Transaxle

DGM 3 Speed Automatic Transaxle

DGC 3 Speed Automatic Transaxle

DGL 4 Speed Electronic Automatic Transaxle


NOTE: A seven digit part number is stamped on a pad located at the rear of the transaxle on the transaxle oil pan flange. This number must be referred to when servicing transaxle due to differences in some internal components.
