BTDC -- Before Top Dead Center.
[02] -- Idle speed is adjusted with transmission in Neutral (N). When checking idle speed, set parking brake & block drive wheels.
[03] -- Before removing wires from distributor cap, determine location of No. 1 wire in cap, as distributor position may have been altered from that shown at the end of this chart.
[04] -- The eighth digit of the VIN denotes engine code.
[06] -- Controlled by an idle speed control motor.
[08] -- Loosen fuel tank filler cap to release fuel tank pressure. Disconnect injector electrical connector from engine electrical connector. Connect jumper wire between pin 1 of injector electrical connector & ground. Connect another jumper wire to pin 2 of injector electrical connector and contact battery positive terminal to release system fuel pressure. Do not contact battery positive for more than four seconds. Disconnect fuel supply hose from engine fuel line. Connect a suitable fuel pressure test gauge between hose and engine fuel line assembly. Energize fuel pump and note fuel pressure gauge reading.
[09] -- Vehicle with less than 1000 miles, 560-910 RPM vehicle with more than 610 miles, 910 RPM.
[14] -- Ignition timing cannot be changed or reset.
[19] -- Equipped with hydraulic lash adjusters.
