REPAIR PROCEDURE:
This bulletin involves installing a lumbar pad in the driver's seat back.
1. Separate the velcro strip or locking "J" retainers if so equipped, on the driver's seat back trim cover located at the bottom of the seat back (accessed from the rear of the seat).
2. Detach the trim cover retainer attached to the horizontal bar if so equipped.
3. Fully recline the seat back.
4. Pull the trim cover through the opening between the seat back pad and the seat cushion pad.
5. Remove the protective film from the two sided tape on the lumbar support block (P/N 4874007).
6. Pull up on the seat back pad/trim cover to expose the seat back frame and create a space that allows insertion of the lumbar support block with the tape side toward the frame. Locate the bottom edge of the lumbar support block against the top edge of the bottom (tubular) crossmember of the seat back frame.
7. Apply pressure to lumbar support block to ensure good adhesion of the adhesive to the seat back frame pan above the bottom (tubular) crossmember of the seat back frame.
8. Allow the seat back pad and trim cover to return to their original position. Adjust as necessary.
9. Push the trim cover through the opening between the seat back pad and the seat cushion pad.
10. Return the seat back to the full up position.
11. Attach the seat trim cover retainer to the horizontal bar.
12. Attach the velcro strips or "J" retainers, if so equipped, on the seat back trim cover.
